I will never forget our drive into the desert over huge rolling dunes, and drinking tea with the beduins in their tent under the starry skies. On day 3 we drove to a small town called Tiwi, and stayed in a lovely little villa by the ocean for two nights. No time to relax though, as the area is particularily famous for its Wadis, which are rock canyons often filled with rivers and lush vegetation. I will say hiking and swimming through these canyons is a must while visiting Oman!
